Definition of EC and ECI Motors
A Both EC and ECI motors are permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSM) mainly with an inner rotor structure. Customers can choose motors equipped with either neodymium iron boron or ferrite magnetic materials.
The EC motor is a conventional permanent magnet synchronous motor that needs an external variable frequency drive (VFD) to operate, with a maximum power of 30 kW. The ECI motor features a built-in variable frequency drive (VFD), with a maximum power of 5 kW.

Energy Efficiency of EC and ECI Motors
A · EC motors reach the IE5+ energy efficiency level (the highest international energy efficiency standard as of June 2026), with an efficiency of 90% to 96%.
· Even with an integrated drive, ECI motors still meet the EU IE5 energy efficiency standard, which is equivalent to China's Class 1 Energy Efficiency.

Application Scenarios
A Livestock ventilation fans, indoor and outdoor fans for central air conditioners, cabinet cooling fans, air purification and fresh air units, cold storage fans, data center cooling systems, industrial fans, water pumps, dust removal equipment, as well as energy-saving renovation of traditional AC motors.

Speed Regulation Range
A · EC Motor: Star (Y) connection: 100~1800 rpm; Delta (△) connection: 300~3600 rpm
· ECI Motor: 100~900 rpm / 300~1500 rpm / 600~4000 rpm
If the required rotating speed is beyond the above ranges, please consult our sales or pre-sales technical staff for confirmation in advance.

Ingress Protection (IP) Ratings
A · EC motor: Standard IP55, upgradable to IP66.
· ECI motor: The T-ECI series comes with standard IP55 and can be upgraded to IP66; the F-ECI series is standard IP66 and upgradable to IP67.
